After several missed chances from both sides, Sefton opened the scoring with two three-pointers.

Hodkin found the net for Blackpool with Harry Parr adding six first quarter points.

Although Sean Gates added nine points for Sefton, Hodkin added a further 12 to give Blackpool a 22-16 lead at the end of the opening quarter.

Blackpool found their rhythm in the second period, with seven players getting on the scoresheet.

Dan Campbell attacked the basket on consecutive drives, scoring once.

Josh Quinn caused havoc defensively, forcing Sefton turnovers, and capitalised on the offensive end by scoring eight points in the quarter, giving Blackpool a 43-32 advantage at half time.

Blackpool’s well balanced attacking threat continued into the second half.

Whittaker and Ingham caused problems for Sefton around the basket, before Parr slashed the basket for another six points.

Ormond shut down the basket on defence, blocking shots and grabbing rebounds as Sefton struggled to score.

Ellis Jolly closed the quarter with a strong middle drive and finish, giving Blackpool a 68-51 lead going into the final quarter.

Blackpool further turned up the pressure as the match reached its conclusion, holding Sefton to just 11 points.

Hodkin (left) notched 16 fourth quarter points, capped off with a baseline three point shot after a steal and assist from Parr ending up in Blackpool winning 90-62.

Individually, Hodkin top- scored with 33 points, eight rebounds and seven steals.

Parr added 14 points and five assists with Ormond also grabbing 16 rebounds, 13 points and five blocked shots for good measure.

Blackpool’s next home game in North Division Four is on Sunday week against Newcastle Eagles Under-23 at Blackpool Sixth Form College.
