Blackburn Road Runners’ Jos Crowther ran a personal best to finish second in 56.23, with Billy McCarthy third in 59.17.
Just outside the podium positions in fourth was Blackpool Wyre and Fylde Athletics Club’s Harry Poole with 60.20.
The women’s race was won comfortably by Sharon Raynes (26th overall) in 71.50 from Bianca Pederson (31st) in 73.41, both runners unattached.
