A former Poulton man who sparked an international search when his family raised concerns over his safety has been found.
Ben Longden’s sister, Emily, launched an online campaign to find the former Baines High School pupil when he failed to contact his family.
Ben, a translator, had been living and working in the German city of Cologne.
The Foreign Office and German Police were involved in the search for Ben.
The appeal for information on his whereabouts was shared thousands of times on the social network Facebook.
Emily has now updated friends and family on the search.
In a post on her profile she thanked those who had shared her appeal and revealed Ben had been found alive and well.
However, Emily said her brother, whose location was not given, did not want contact with his friends and family at this time.
