A young boy believed to five-years-old has fallen out of a first floor window in Blackpool.

The Air Ambulance landed nearby at Claremont Fields.

Lancashire Constabulary have confirmed the incident but were unable to provide any further details.

A spokesman said: "A young boy has fallen out of a first floor.

"We are not sure of the level of injury at this point."

A nearby resident, who saw the Air Ambulance land at about 5.20pm today, told the Gazette that there was a heavy police presence in the area.

She said: "The Air Ambulance landed in Claremont Fields.

"There were about three or four police cars.

"A young boy had fallen out of a first floor window in Claremont Road."
