A man suffered a black eye, cuts and grazes after an attack on Wolsley Road in Blackpool this afternoon.

The victim, who was in his 30s, was checked over by paramedics at the scene but was not seriously injured.

A Lancashire Constabulary spokesman said: "We were called just after 2pm to a report that a man in his 30s had been assaulted.

"He was checked over by paramedics but he was not taken to hospital."

Witnesses should call police on 101 with log number 0673 of Tuesday, April 17.
