This year marks a decade since the parliamentary expenses scandal that led to many MPs losing their jobs amid anger over the way they were spending public cash.
Members of Parliament were forced to apologise – with a large number resigning or being forced out – after details of expense claims were revealed in the Daily Telegraph.
It prompted an overhaul of the expenses system to ensure our representatives spend taxpayer money fairly.
