Zumba fans are full of energy for fund-raiser

The atmosphere was electric as crowds gathered for an annual charity Zumbathon.

Zumba professional Zumba Suzy whipped the crowd into a frenzy raising over £1,110 for the Lytham RNLI Shannon appeal and YMCA Lakeside youth project.

Two hours of energetic dance fitness filled the sports hall at St Annes YMCA as Zumba instructors Leigh Hamilton, Lyndsey Atkinson, Hazel Loonia and Rebecca led the biggest Zumbathon yet!

Local businesses showed amazing support providing huge raffle prizes, including a day at St Annes Beach Huts.

Sainsbury’s provided free bottled water while the nearby Queen Victoria pub supplied unlimited free ice keeping our Zumba people hydrated.

Mark Daniels, of The Little Stage Company, provided free staging.

Our amazing Zumba instructors gave their valuable time supporting this event.

I am astounded by the efforts of our community.
