Mammal expert Adam Kenyon joined the pair as they walked through the country’s southern Highlands – where there are a number of active volcanoes, for children’s charity NSPCC.

He’s now back, but will spend only a few days back at work before he runs a 100km ultra marathon called ‘Race to the Stones’, from the Chilterns in Oxfordshire to the North Wessex Downs.

The dad-of-one said: “All in all, the tough challenge will be a fantastic experience but the bottom line is that it is all in aid of a fantastic cause.

“The work that the NSPCC do and what they undertake is to be much commended and each penny raised could make that difference to that child.

“All children deserve to be happy and free to dream in a loving and safe environment.”

Adam made headlines in January after appearing on ITV’s high-energy reality show, Ninja Warrior UK.
