Yvonne is just potty about terracotta

Yvonne Pinder first visited the group in 2016 when she spoke about touring the USA, but this year she returned with something quite different to offer – pots!

Quite simply, Yvonne is an avid and skilled decorator of terracotta pots! Not for her the plain terracotta pots holding beautiful and well nurtured horticultural delight - her pots are as beautiful as any plant.

She explained that she has been decoration pots for over 20 years – by using paper napkins!

She gave a fascinating demonstration of how she does this and her enthusiasm, enjoyment and obvious artistic talent shone through.

Yvonne had brought with her an extensive and varied array of her decorative pots and, after all, spring and the gardening season are upon us. So we couldn’t resist, now could we?

Valerie Mac Lachlan said: “Yvonne is a very talented person who demonstrated how to create the designs on the pots, and gave excellent tips as she showed us the technique.

“My pot has been greatly admired by the family and all who have seen it, with many questions on how she made it all happen. It was an extremely interesting presentation.”
