A spokesman said: “Blackpool Pleasure Beach is world renowned for providing its visitors with thrills via its many rides and attractions but now the park is on the lookout for actors to provide the scares themselves.

“Those who give the creepiest, scariest performances during the auditions will be invited to use their horrific skills to entertain visitors to the park on October 31.”

There are 50 places on the scare cast, with six of those for the very best terrors - who will get extra training from the team at the park’s Pasaje Del Terror and will act as team leaders on the night.

The special scare school will include the art of scary make up, how to lead a team of zombies, how to talk like some of the most frightening characters in horror and experience what it is like to be on set at the scariest venue in town, Pasaje Del Terror.
