Young people in Lancashire have turned out in their droves for this year’s ‘Make Your Mark’ ballot.

Since August, more than 32,000 young Lancastrians have been casting their vote to decide which five issues Members of the Young People’s Parliament (MYPs) will debate in the House of Commons at their annual session in November.

Lancashire’s top five issues according to the
ballot are:

– Everyone should receive a Living Wage (£7.65);

– Bring back maths and English resits;

– Work Experience;

– Curriculum to prepare us for life;

– Mental Health

Most of these issues were echoed across the UK. The top five will now be debated in the House of Commons on November 14.
