An investigation is under way after a wooden ‘house’ was destroyed by fire.

Five fire engines and one aerial ladder platform attended the incident in Moss House Lane, Westby with Plumptons, shortly before midnight.

The single-storey 10mx4m building, made of wood, was used as a house.

When firefighters arrived, the building was well alight.

They used one jet and a monitor from the aerial ladder platform to extinguish the fire.

The whole building was destroyed by the fire.

There were no reported injuries and an investigation has now begun.
