A Blackpool woman was placed on a year’s supervision and fined £20 after she admitted benefit fraud.
Irene Derbyshire, 48, admitted three offences of benefit fraud when she appeared before Blackpool Magistrates.
Lynda Bennett, prosecuting, said Derbyshire, of Irvine Close, Blackpool, had failed to disclose she had been working as a hotel chambermaid.
She admitted making a fraudulent claim to get Job Seeker’s Allowance and two offences of failing to notify a change in her circumstances.
She was overpaid a total of £4,279.
