A woman was trapped in a car after a crash in Blackpool that injured four people.
Firefighters freed the woman from the vehicle after the collision on Grange Road, Layton, on Tuesday morning.
Police closed the road near the junction with Kingscote Drive while emergency services attended the scene, where a black Audi and grey Renault collided.
Three people were taken to hospital as “walking wounded” while the extent of the woman’s injuries are not yet known.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We were called shortly after 8.50am to a report of a collision on Grange Road.
“Fire and ambulance services were on the scene.
“Grange Road was closed between Shenstone Road and Kingscote Drive. The vehicles were recovered and it re-opened at 10.50am.”
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Four people were injured and one female casualty was trapped.
“Firefighters rescued the trapped casualty using hydraulic equipment and casualties were attended to by ambulance paramedics.”
The North West Ambulance Service confirmed two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were dispatched to the scene.
A spokesman said: “There were three walking wounded, one with minor neck and back pain.
“Two ambulances were conveyed to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.”
They were unable to provide details for the woman who was trapped in the car.
