The body of a woman was found at a seafront children’s attraction in Cleveleys.
Police cordoned off part of North Promenade after being called by a member of the public to the Kiddies’ Corner children’s park at the weekend.
The body of a 34-year-old woman was recovered from the scene after being found hanged on Sunday morning.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Passers-by reported seeing officers in the area and police tape blocking off the road.
Darren Talbot said: “On my way into Cleveleys, I found the Promenade closed off by the police. I was informed that they had discovered a body among the rides at Kiddies’ Corner.”
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said the force is no longer investigating.
The spokesman added: “We were called at 10.15am on Sunday to a report that a body had been found hanging at the Kiddies’ Corner ride area on the Promenade.
“We attended and found the body of a 34-year-old woman.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and the file has been passed to the coroner.”
A date has not yet been set for the inquest.
