Woman hurt as car overturns on country lane

A woman was cut free from her car after it overturned on a country lane.

Firefighters were called to the scene at Rosemary Lane, Bartle, near Preston, at around 12.30am today.

The woman, driving a Ford Ka, was released and taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

In other incidents, firefighters were called to a blazing car in Russell Drive, Morecambe, yesterday afternoon. They used a hosereel to extinguish the fire.

And Fleetwood firefighters went to Lowther Road in the port to extinguish rubbish ablaze near a house last night.
