Woman fined after safety breaches at Blackpool takeaway 'put public at risk'
Leying Shi, 46, will have to pay more than £2,000 after pleading guilty to nine food safety and hygiene offences at Blackpool Magistrates Court.

Hide AdThe court heard they found serious contamination risks, with raw meat being stored, prepared and defrosted throughout the kitchen, alongside ready-to-eat food.
Dirt was found on cooking equipment, shelving and on the floor.
Officers also found open food being stored beneath the sinks, damaged food containers, a torn filthy delivery bag and lapsed monitoring records.
The court heard the offences were classed as "high culpability and a flagrant disregard".

Hide AdShi, who was accompanied by an interpreter, was fined £1384 by magistrates on August 8 and ordered to pay costs of £750 plus a £138 victim surcharge, payable at £400 per month.
Coun Simon Blackburn, Blackpool Council leader, said: “We will continue to monitor, pursue and prosecute businesses that fail to adhere to relevant regulations.
“There is no room in Blackpool for establishments that do not take hygiene in their premises seriously. Those that don’t could potentially put the public at risk. This will not be tolerated.
“We would recommend that people check the Food Standards Agency website which helps consumers choose where to eat or shop for food by giving them information about the hygiene standards in restaurants, takeaways and food shops – www.ratings.food.gov.uk.”
