Woman caught red handed in store theft

A woman went into a town centre store and stole a collection of items.

Haler Riddler, 31, stole pair of gloves,two bras,two bracelets, a cardigan and leggings from Primark in Blackpool’s Houndshill Shopping Centre.

Riddler, of Fordway Avenue, Blackpool admitted shoplifiting when she appeared before resort magistrates.

Don Green, prosecuting, said security staff monitored Riddler after seeing her take items and then hide behind some clothes hangers. She went to the checkout and paid for some other items but not for others which she had hidden.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said Riddler had left the store in a hurry because her son had run outside.

Riddler was fined £35 and ordered to pay £50 costs and £20 victims surcharge.
