Window dress competition up and running

Shopkeepers are being invited to dress up their premises in festive fashion for the Fylde mayor's festive window competition.

The contest which covers St Annes was won last year by soft furnishings specialists Sopers of Wood Street and Arnold Sumner, long-time co-ordinator of the recently disbanded St Annes Chamber of Trade, said: “It has been a popular competition over the years and it is always a delight to see the results of the imagination which goes into giving our wonderful shops that special festive look.

“There are already some great looking windows around town and I would encourage as many shopkeepers as possible to enter.”

Closing date is Thursday, December 8, after which judging will be done by mayor Coun Christine Akeroyd.
