Designed to increase footfall to Fleetwood from visitors wanting to come and see the festival, it is hoped the economy will receive a boost from the extra trade.
But not only that, the scarecrows provide a unique spectacle at the peak of the summer season in Fleetwood as Tram Sunday gets underway this week and the SpareParts Arts Festival which runs alongside it and then for next weekend’s big Fleetwood Memorial Park Fun Day.
And next week the judges are in town from Britain in Bloom to judge Fleetwood’s entry.
