What a Christmas cutie!

He’s the littlest Father Christmas, and with his cheeky smile and fluffy hat it’s no wonder he melted the hearts of the Fylde coast public.

Colby-Lee Dubrawski is the winner of our Christmas Cuties competition, and the cherub-faced three-month-old’s family say they’re “over the moon” after his victory - which will make it an extra special first Christmas for the youngster.

Colby-Lee, from Caunce Street, central Blackpool, polled the most votes in the contest - winning his mum Carrianne Lee a large canvas of the winning portrait plus a bumper bag of festive goodies.

Carrianne, 20, said: “We’re over the moon and I wasn’t expecting it because there were lots of other children in The Gazette as well.

“Some of our family voted but we didn’t expect to win the competition.”

Colby-Lee is the first child of Carrianne and her 24-year-old boyfriend Andrew - and she describes the experience of motherhood as “absolutely brilliant”.

And the pair say the competition photo will make a fantastic memento for years to come.

Carrianne added: “I’ve put the pictures in his baby book.

“He’s only 12-weeks-old at the moment so he can’t do much, but he loves to play.

“I love seeing him grow every day into a baby boy.

“He’s only ever difficult when he’s tired but a cuddle usually sorts him out.”

All the delightful entries were featured in a supplement in The Gazette and readers voted for the cutest picture.

Gazette readers cast around one thousand votes in the competition, which saw parents flock to Debenhams, in the Houndshill Centre, to have their babies snapped in cute costumes.

The photography session took place over six hours on Sunday December 1 at the department store.

Sue Bentley, promotions manager at The Gazette, congratulated Colby-Lee on his victory.

She said: “It’ll make his first Christmas extra special and I’m sure he’ll enjoy the toys and treats in the goody bag, and his mum and dad will be able to cherish the photograph forever.

“I’d like to thank everyone else who turned up for taking part and, as always, making the competition a fantastic success.

“They were all winners in my book but it looks like the people of Blackpool held a special place in their heart for Colby-Lee, his sweet Santa outfit and his adorable smile.

“We had about 100 youngsters who turned up to Debenhams with their mums and dads, making it a brilliant occasion.

“We’d like to thank Debenhams as well for so kindly hosting us because without them we’d have had nowhere to take the pictures.”
