West End star is a coup for Lowther

West End singing star Kerry Ellis is making a rapid return to Lytham after wowing the crowds at this year’s Proms.

She will perform at Lowther Pavilion on Sunday, October 12 in a one-off concert officials at the theatre are greeting as another real coup for the venue.

Following sell-out appearances by the likes of comedians Jason Manford and John Bishop, Kerry is another example of the ‘Lift the Quality’ crusade at Lowther – and brisk demand is expected for tickets when they go on sale tomorrow at 9am.

After an impressive appearance at Lytham Proms last month, Kerry went straight back into the West End playing Elphaba in Wicked, a role for which she has won many awards both in the UK and on Broadway.

At Lowther, she will perform hits from the West End and Broadway as well as songs from her forthcoming solo album with a live band and a grand piano.

Lowther acting manager Keith Robinson said: “We are so pleased that Kerry has accepted our invitation to play at the Lowther and it will be an evening for music lovers everywhere. Tickets have been kept to what we feel is a very affordable level of £20.50 and are expected to sell very quickly.

“Lowther Trust member Dan Creasey has worked tirelessly to secure a deal to bring Kerry from the West End to play this one-off gig.

“People wanting to see Kerry sing live this year would otherwise have had to travel to Leeds or Durham, the other northern dates she is playing.”
