A WANTED man has been arrested after he handed himself in following an appeal in The Gazette.

James Hughes, from Fleetwood, was wanted on prison recall after breaching the terms of his parole.

He was arrested at Washington Tyne and Wear Police Station after he handed himself in.

Hughes had featured in the June 2010 Crimewatch Roadshow series as a wanted person.

Insp John Clucas said: "We never give up in tracking down people who are wanted and it is in their best interests to give themselves up at a time convenient to them rather than be caught by us."
