Tomorrow residents can head to Gynn Square in the morning and Harrowside in the afternoon, where volunteers will join council staff and ward councillors to tidy up their respective areas.

John Blackledge, director of Community and Environmental Services at Blackpool Council, said: “People often comment about litter on the street but these events are a chance for people to help us do something about it and take back some pride in their local area.

“These events are part of the national campaign, however there will also be many more chances for people to volunteer to keep Blackpool tidy.”

All equipment for this weekend’s events will be provided.

Morning events start at 10am, with afternoon events starting at 2pm.
