VIDEO: Toys mission for ‘tough’ bikers

Around 300 bikers, from St Annes and as far afield as Liverpool, took part in an event to raise money for Trinity and Brian House Children’s Hospice in Bispham.

A group of the motorcyclists took toys and gifts and each donated a £1 to the hospice during their visit before joining others for a ride along the Illuminations.

The event, on Monday, was arranged by the Inenco European Team, based in St Annes, who are taking part in Trinity’s Corporate Challenge – a competition which involves business teams aiming to raise as much money for the hospice as possible in just 12 weeks.

Natalie Bromley, Trinity’s corporate fund-raiser, said six youngsters and some staff members were taken through the Illuminations by minibus, accompanied by the bikes.

She said: “The roar of the motorbikes made for a fantastic atmosphere, and the generosity of the bikers was truly inspiring. They certainly gave a group of our children an experience they won’t forget.

“Inenco has been doing so much for us in the corporate challenge – their enthusiasm has been infectious and events like this show that it isn’t just about raising money for us, it can also be about creating memories.

“We can’t thank them enough.”
