VIDEO: Tipper truck dumps mountain of rubbish in Blackpool street

Stunned residents today spoke of their astonishment after a tipper truck was filmed dumped a mountain of rubbish down the middle of their street.

Rubbish dumped on Chadfield Road,Blackpool

Amateur footage shows the truck leaving a 75 metre-long trail of wood, an old bath, furniture, bins, children’s toys and building material along Chadfield Road in Blackpool at 11.30am on Tuesday.

Michelle Bracegirdle, who lives on neighbouring Lilac Avenue, said: “The van came to the corner of our street and stopped for about 45 seconds while they lifted up the back end, and then they just sped around the corner with all the rubbish falling off behind them.

“I have lived here for years and I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Witnesses described seeing the tipper van speed off once it had emptied its load.

Lancashire Police and Blackpool Council are investigating.
