It was chocks away at the southern end of the park for a special press preview of Red Arrows Skyforce, which sent brave riders into a spin.

After a demonstration by the Pleasure Beach’s flight team – dressed in their own take on the RAF aerobatic team’s uniform – the latest test pilots took to the skies.

“We have done a lot for families with Nickelodeon Land and Wallace and Gromit, this is just the beginning of the next phase of white knuckle rides for our keen guests.”

Skyforce soars to 72ft, allowing 12 riders at a time to take control of their own flight – making it as stomach churningly dramatic or as calm as you like.

Riders can spin in 360-degree loops or glide serenely to create a dazzling display for those watching the unique to the UK ride from the ground.
