Van seized by Blackpool Police after routine stop for not wearing a seat belt

A Blackpool van driver that drew attention to themselves this afternoon by not wearing a seat belt ended up with the vehicle being seized by police.

The incident happened in the town today, where the routine stop ended in revealing the driver had an expired driving licence as well as no insurance cover for the van.

A police spokesman said the driver was reported for the offences and the vehicle seized was seized under Section 165a of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
