UPDATE: Driver reported after crash causes traffic jams
A driver was reported for driving without due care and attention after a car crash in Marton, police said.
The accident, between a silver Ford and silver BMW, happened in Cherry Tree Road North at around 4.20pm.An ambulance spokeswoman said three people suffered minor injuries, while police said the road was blocked close to the junction with Preston New Road.
One motorist described traffic as 'awful'. Another said it was 'absolutely chaos'. The road was since reopened.
Coun Christian Cox said: "This junction is an absolute death trap. I was involved in an accident here a few years ago. So dangerous, something needs doing."
