THOSE with an eye on the sky in Blackpool will have noticed it is all change at the top of the Tower.
As part of the massive refurbishment of the resort’s most iconic structure, new lights have been fitted around the observation deck to bring it to sparkling life.
Thousands of cyclists taking part in the Ride the Lights event were treated to a first look at the new array as they pedalled down the Promenade.
The Tower will be re-launched this morning with a 4D cinema taking pride of place at the base before visitors are escorted to the tower top lifts to fly up to the summit and the Blackpool Eye attraction, which includes one entire side of the deck in glass.
And after the opening of the Tower Dungeon attraction at the weekend, people will be keen to see the finished Tower in all its glory.
