Dr Barsby died on Friday after a battle with pancreatic cancer, aged only 43.

The father-of-three who lived in Clitheroe, but worked as a GP at Kiddrow Lane Health Centre, Burnley, was given two months to live after he was diagnosed with advanced inoperable pancreatic cancer in October last year. Until the diagnosis, he led a very healthy, fit and active life-style and experienced very few symptoms.

Thanks to the support of his family and friends and his wife, Susan (43), he underwent aggressive chemotherapy and major surgery in Germany earlier this year and was continuing to improve, but suddenly died on Friday.
