Treat for boy who can’t wait to be a cadet
Young Cormac O’Kane, from Blackpool, told Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw “it seems a long time to wait” until he is 13 to sign up.
He wrote: “I have wanted to be a police cadet my whole life.”

On the stage at King George’s Hall, Mr Grunshaw and Chief Constable Steve Finnigan presented the youngster with a special cadet cap.
Mr Grunshaw said: “It is brilliant to see the enthusiasm for the Volunteer Cadet scheme that Cormac has.
“I am really proud that people as young as Cormac are determined to help out Lancashire Constabulary and their communities. I was delighted to present Cormac with a cap to look after until such a time that we can bring him into the Cadet scheme.”
