An ambulance and two police cars were called to the collision on the A584 Preston New Road, near the Lea Gate pub, at around 1.15pm today (November 18).

The white van, which reportedly became embedded in woodland on the westbound carriageway, was badly damaged and its airbags had deployed, according to eyewitnesses.

Police say they believe it was a minor injury collision.
