A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Bispham.

*UPDATE: Man, 20, killed after being hit by van in Bamber Bridge as murder investigation launchedThe incident occurred on Guildford Avenue at around 2.40pm today (February 11).

An ambulance was sent to the scene alongside an air ambulance which landed on Bispham Gala Field.

North West Ambulance Service has since confirmed a man in his 20s suffered a head injury in the collision.

He was taken to hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.

A spokesman for North West Air Ambulance Service said: "We can confirm that our crews on our helicopter H08 did attend an incident in Blackpool at approximately 2.51pm but were stood down at the scene."
