Lifeboat called to ill crew member
Lifeboat crews were scrambled when a crew member became ill on a ship off the Fylde coast.
Fleetwood lifeboat was launched just before lunch time yesterday to one of the vessels working to install a new storm water outfall pipe off Anchorsholme on behalf of United Utilities
The Indonesian crew member was taken ashore by RNLI volunteers.
Paramedics were waiting for him at the lifeboat station and the man was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment.
No details were given of his condition.
