North West Ambulance Service have confirmed no one was taken to hospital.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "This was a two car collision which happened at 11.30am at the roundabout. Minor injuries."

Norcross roundabout fully reopened earlier this year (2020) after a major renovation, but concerns have been raised by the public about the layout of the new project.

The development - conducted by Highways England - started in July 2019 and was reopened on June 18, 2020.

The roundabout was made bigger, traffic lights were installed and approaches to the junction were made wider.

It was hoped the changes would reduce congestion and improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists crossing the main road, which links Fleetwood to the M55.

But the installation of traffic lights and lack of road signs has been criticised by some motorists, who were concerned there could be an increase in accidents.
