Flood alert issued for this afternoon
A flood alert has been issued for the Wyre estuary at this afternoon's high tide.
The Environment Agency has issued the alert for the Wyre estuary, running from Fleetwood to Poulton-le-Fylde and Great Eccleston.
High tide is expected at 1.06pm today, with an amber alert ‘be prepared’ in place for a possible tidal surge following the high tide.
