A motorcyclist fled the scene after hitting a schoolboy at a busy Blackpool junction.
Police are now appealing to trace the motorist after the 11-year-old was injured in the fail to stop collision, leaving him with a broken arm.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Sunday, July 19, at the junction of St Annes Road, Watson Road and Marton Drive interchange under the Yeadon Way flyover.
The boy was crossing St Annes Road when he was hit by a black motorbike that was travelling from the direction of Marton Drive.
The child was left with a fractured arm, cuts to his face and bruising to his leg, all of which will require further medical treatment.
The motorcyclist is believed to be male and was described by witnesses as wearing a black leather jacket and black helmet. He is thought to have continued along St Annes Road towards the airport.
PC Gail Walters said: “This incident has left a young boy with some nasty injuries and I would appeal to anyone who may know who the motorcyclist is, or indeed the motorcyclist himself, to come forward and contact us.”
