THE family of a biker killed in a horror crash have paid tribute to him.
Gordon Scott, from Freckleton, died while riding his Yamaha motorbike at the junction of Penwortham Way and Chain House Lane in Whitestake, near Preston, on Thursday.
The 49-year-old was in collision with a Vauxhall Zafira coming from the opposite direction at around 10.25pm.
A statement from the family said: “Gordon was a dearly loved husband, father, son and friend. His passion was classic motorcycles and their restoration. He also was a huge Elvis Presley fan. Gordon was extremely kind and caring, and would always help someone in need.
“He was the best dad ever and we’ll always have him in our minds. We had little arguments but we always loved him and know he always loved us too.”
Mr Scott died at the scene.
A 64-year-old man from Ingol, Preston, who was the driver of the Vauxhall, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been bailed until November 2 pending further inquiries.
Sgt Alan Baron, from the road policing unit, said: “An investigation is under way and we would appeal to anybody that witnessed it to call Lancashire Police on 08451 25 3545.
