Two rescued from house fire

The incident happened in Bright Street, South Shore, at 5.30pm on Thursday.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and helped the pair to safety.

They then put out the fire using hose reels and cleared smoke from the property with a ventilation unit.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check for further casualties.

The two occupants of the house were taken to hospital for checks.
