Traffic chaos after four-car crash close to Stanley Park

East Park Drive was closed after four cars were involved in a collision close to Stanley Park and Blackpool Zoo yesterday.

Police and the ambulance service were called to the road at around 5.30pm on Monday after the crash, which involved a red Ford Fiesta, black Ford Fiesta, blue Renault Clio, and black BMW 430D.

Nobody was hurt, but the road was closed for around 50 minutes until 6.20pm while debris and the cars were cleared, police said.

The crash left motorists stuck in jams around Stanley Park, with roads around the town also extremely busy because of the closure of the St Annes Road and Watson Road junction, and roadworks at Crossley’s Bridge in Plymouth Road.
