Environmental health workers discovered the badly decomposed body on Thursday after neighbours reported a bad smell coming from the semi-detached home, in Renwick Avenue.

Police this morning said a post mortem exam was ‘due to take place in the next day or two’, and said it could also reveal how the person died and when.

It is understood the 58-year-old woman helped from property on October 5 lived with her son, who has not been seen since she was taken to hospital and later to a rehabilitation centre.
