Delay warning as water works begin
Driver are being warned to expect delays on one of the major routes into Blackpool as United Utilities continues a major project to replace water mains.
The project, which has been gradually moving along St Annes Road in the past six months, reaches the junction with Squires Gate Lane today.Traffic lights will be in place in St Annes Road from today at the junction with Squires Gate Lane and Blackpool Business Park.The work is scheduled to run until late June.Last year United Utilities water mains works at the junction of St Annes Road and Watson Road caused major delays for drivers in South Shore.
