Death of woman was not suspicious, police say after being called to resort home
A 96-year-old woman was found dead inside her New South Promenade home, in South Shore, this morning.
A spokeswoman for Lancashire Police said officers were called to the house, close to the tram depot at Starr Gate, by the ambulance service at around 6.35am.
She said there were no suspicious circumstances, and a file will be prepared and passed to the town’s coroner.
