Blackpool Tower will be turning orange for a special charity event this coming Saturday.

Merlin Entertainments has agreed to light up the iconic structure in the colour of the Jack’s Belles’ fund-raising, in support team of its Willy Wonka charity ball on Saturday night at The Imperial Hotel.

The event will raise money for the Muir Maxwell Trust, which supports families who have children with epilepsy.

Jack’s Belles are a group of women – including Catherine Bell, mum of six-year-old Jack from South Shore and their family and friends – who devote their time to promoting charities in his name.

Brave Jack was born with Dravet Syndrome, a progressive neuro-developmental disorder which leads to many seizures.

The ball will include a live band and DJ, as well as a three-course meal.
