Tipper truck crash puts bus out of service
The number 7 bus service from St Annes was put out of operation this morning following a collision with a truck.
The crash happened on Squire's Gate Lane just after 8am. A Blackpool Transport spokesman said: "It was a tipper style wagon which hit the off side rear of a number 7 bus which was stationary at the bus stop."
A witness described seeing glass covering the ground at the scene. The number 7 bus, which was travelling southbound towards Lytham at the time, is no longer in service.
Blackpool Transport was unable to say how many people were on board the bus at the time but said that nobody was injured.
