Three injured in St Annes accident

THREE people were taken to hospital after their car ploughed into a ditch at the side of North Houses Lane, St Annes.

Fire crews used cutting equipment to free one of the casualties who was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

A second person in the car suffered a possible fractured spine and was also taken to hospital.

The accident happened at 1.15am on Sunday morning when a red Toyota Corolla came off the road near to the radar station on the Moss.

The road was closed until 6am while the vehicle was cleared from the scene.
