A takeaway driver had his car stolen after leaving it running while delivering food.

The blue Toyota Yaris was taken from Worcester Road near Stanley Park and later found crashed on Bispham Road, which links Bispham to Carleton, police said.

Officers believe the driver lost control, smashed into a house, and flipped the car onto its roof.

Three people were seen running away after the crash, which happened at around 9.10pm on Saturday.

A male driver was taken to Royal Preston Hospital while a female passenger was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Two boys from Blackpool, aged 16 and 17, and a 17-year-old from Thornton were arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage under £5,000.

They were bailed until April 27. Call 101 with info.
