INTERNATIONAL DJ star Judge Jules did something he’d never ever done before when he performed in Blackpool - kept his coat on.
The dance music king topped the bill at Randy Ron’s Rendezvous on North Pier on Easter Sunday. Only one problem, that was the night when overnight temperatures plummeted to well below freezing.
That didn’t put off the crowd that had gathered to party the night away on the end of the pier but it did mean a rather unique experience for the DJ.
“I haven’t Dj-ed with my coat on before!” said Jules. “It’s a shame it was so cold but it didn’t affect the event one bit. The venue and production reminded me of Ibiza. In fact the cold made people dance even more and it was a fantastic gig.”
Randy Ron is the idea of Blackpool lads Alex Huckerby and Danny Howard. They set the company up before Howard was catapulted to fame when he landed a show on Radio One and have been arranging party nights around the resort and beyond for the last few years.
“Easter Sunday on North Pier was a special party,” said Huckerby. “It was an amazing atmosphere with a wind chill up to minus nine but people still made a massive effort and partied till 4am.
“It was great to bring in such a huge name like Judge Jules and associate the Randy Ron Brand with one of the UK’s most successful DJs”.
