SKA Face return to the Merrie England Bar on Blackpool North Pier tonight, along with special guests the Sex Pistol Experience.

Take a trip back to the 70s punk phenomena with the raw sounds of the Sex Pistols Experience, and then go “one step beyond” to party with Ska Face as they celebrate the ska and Two Tone movement of the 80s!

Ska Face is enjoying a meteoric rise through the ranks of pub and club-land, frequently packing venues to capacity. The 10-piece Blackpool-based band takes their musical cues from ska classics, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Selecter, Madness and others.

The band straddles the ska genre to include classics by bands such as The Piranhas, UB40, Bob Marley and even The Jam.

They emulate the original verve and energy with passion and accuracy.

Joining them is the world’s number one professional tribute to the most outrageous and controversial band of all time, the Sex Pistols Experience. From their early beginnings performing in pubs and clubs around the UK, they went on to tour throughout Europe, the USA and South America.

Their show has perfected the look and sound down to every last detail. They have captured perfectly all the spirit and energy of the Sex Pistols at their blistering peak 1977 period, blended with the ability of the seasoned musicians of their later reformation tours.

So convincing is the live show, that the Sex Pistols Experience has been hired by the BBC, Sky TV, Channel 4 and America’s Fox TV network to portray the original band on film.

The Sex Pistols Experience are the only band to have had the thumbs-up from the original Sex Pistols; from being guests of Pistols’ guitarist Steve Jones on his radio show, to playing with Glen Matlock in Liverpool’s Cavern Club. They also received the seal of approval from Johnny Rotten in 2008 after a concert at London’s Hammersmith in 2008.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are £5 (bookable in advance or pay at the door). Call the North Pier Box Office on (01253) 623304 or visit for more information. Tickets can also be purchased from or via Ticketmaster on 0844 847 2452.
